This paper tried to review its possibility and current situation of Korean traditional martial arts so that it can be a good patriotic martial arts of Korea. In conclusion the summary and analysis of the given academical materials the followings are concluded. Firstly, in the ideology of Korean martial culture Mu-do is its philosophy and the training itself is martial arts, which pursues art. Secondly, its core idea of Korean martial arts is Pung-ryu or Seon philosophy and it is originally expressed in Choi, Chi Won's preface of Nan Rang Bi which tells us Sam Won philosophy. It flourished in the field of Taekwondo philosophy first, but it can be generalized to every Korean traditional martial art. For Taekwondo is one of them too. Thirdly, Sam Won philosophy can be applied to martial arts well, in spite of existence of come arguments that Sam Won philosophy seems to have nothing to do with specific martial arts. It has main concepts of Samjae and Kang-Yu or Heo-Sil or Yin-Yang. which can explain details of martial arts motions and techniques.
