The sea separates China and the Korean Peninsula. Since ancient times, the unique geographical advantage makes the two countries have extensive interaction and exchange in literature. The introduction of classical Chinese novels has a direct and profound impact on the creation of Chinese novels in the Korean Peninsula. The three novels, “Pillow story”, “Nanke Prefecture Biography” and “Nine Clouds Dream” are "dream related" novels. Their story backgrounds are all set in the Tang Dynasty. Also, they have many similarities in ideological characteristics and story structure, which is the direct confirmation of the extensive exchange of literature between the two countries and conforms to the historical law of novel development. However, due to the different national cultures and national situations of the two countries, the theme and intention expressed in the novel are slightly different. This article takes “sleepwalking” novels such as “Pillow story”, “Nanke Prefecture Biography” and “Nine Clouds Dream”as the research object, and explores the influence of Buddhist thoughts such as “impermanence of life”, “blissful” and “all reality is a phantom” on “pre-dream, during dream, and post dream”. When combining historical background of two countries’ authors’ experience and creation, the homoousia and difference of two works are summarized. The cultural awareness hidden in the text is explored and further explore the correlation of “sleepwalking” legend classical Chinese novel of two countries.
