In fashion, Guochao refers to a fashion trend with the characteristics of Chinese culture derived from the combination of fashion brands with traditional Chinese culture. Recently, popular Chinese fashion brands have been on the global stage several times due to the cultural style of Guochao and have begun to show the charm of Chinese culture to the world. This study aims to investigate Guochao's concept and development, which is popular in China, and derive Guochao's characteristics through related papers and news reports, to reveal Guochao's characteristics in Mukzin, a representative Guochao fashion brand. Mukzin combines traditional Chinese culture with modern design, uses fashion design as a medium, and pursues oriental aesthetics. Since its founding in 2015, it has established itself as a Guochao brand through regular cooperation series. That is, through regular and collaborative collections, it is solidifying its position as a Guochao brand. As a result of analyzing the Mukzin collection, Mukzin reflected Chinese folklore and history, applied traditional Chinese embroidery and custom, and combined tradition and modernity. The Guochao characteristics shown in the Mukzin collection are ethnicity, diversity, epochality, and innovation. It was analyzed that it was in line with the aesthetic sense of the younger generation, and reflected new trends by combining tradition with modern techniques and technologies. This study is significant in that it provides a theoretical basis for the phenomenon of Guochao fashion in China in the study of fashion design.
