[Purpose] Although data for golf course caddies' respect for their job is needed to provide relevant basic data for the improvement of such service, there is no job respect scale for golf course caddies. This study created a job respect scale for golf course caddies, verified its validity. [Method] Data were collected from 231 pre-tests and the golf course sutes in the Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Jeju areas. The analysis was performed using SPSS 21.0, AMOS 21.0, and WINSTEP programs. and reached the following conclusion. [Result] First, the job respect scale for golf course caddies comprised 3 sub-factors and 21 questions. Second, the goodness-of-fit-index by factor of job respect scale for golf course caddies met the standard criteria. Third, the reliability of questions by structure of job respect scale for golf course caddies met the acceptance criteria. Fourth, for the job respect scale for golf course caddies, a 5-point response type was found to be suitable. Fifth, golf course caddies' job respect by career was different according to individuals, and caddies with 5 or more years of experience showed the highest job respect. [Conclusion] In conclusion, for data necessary for job improvement aimed at improving golf course caddies' service quality, the scale proposed herein is expected to better boost feasibility and validity of the analysis of measurement results than other scales. In particular, programs aimed at boosting job professionalism and positive self-recognition of job can help improve golf course caddies' service quality when taking approach to the programs by career.
