China and South Korea are geographically close and culturally similar, and the two peoples share a natural affinity. Both countries have maintained close contacts in terms of economic development and cultural exchanges. This paper focuses on the translation and reception of Mo Yan's works in Korea. Since 1989, when was first translated and introduced to South Korea, a total of 19 novels have been translated and published in South Korea. First of all, through searching the data of Korean publishing association, this paper analyzes the translation and publication status of Chinese literary works in South Korea in recent years, so as to understand the market situation of Chinese literary works in South Korea, Then, on the theoretical basis of translation and media and reception aesthetics, this paper sorts out the translation and media of Mo Yan's works in Korea, and analyzes the development process of translation and media of Mo Yan's works in Korea. At last, the author investigates the acceptance of Mo Yan's novels by Korean readers from two aspects: ordinary readers and Korean academic circle. Under the background of promoting "Chinese culture going abroad" and "telling Chinese stories well", the study on the translation and dissemination and acceptance of Mo Yan's works in South Korea is conducive to the cultural exchange between the two countries and provides some reference for Chinese literature to go to South Korea.
