The purpose of this study to create appropriate future alternatives by understanding an actual condition of the ethical dilemmas for school social workers and its recognition. To accomplish this, a survey was conducted questionnaire survey for 20 school social workers in the Seoul and Gyeonggi region and additionally focus group for 6 school social workers. The study results revealed that the level of actual experience of the ethical dilemma and its recognition were different and although school social workers are doing their best to resolve the ethical dilemmas but are experiencing many difficulties, which shows a need for a realistic alternatives. Therefore, based on the results of this study, we suggested a few implications as following. First, the ethics education and training to reinforce the ethical aspect of school social work as well as education and training structures for its are needed. Second, an ethical standards to respond appropriately to the ethical dilemmas in the practice process for a stable settlement of school social workers in comparison to other profession are needed. therefore we suggest school social workers have to use the existing code of ethics for social worker properly but also have to make the code of ethics for school social worker to resolve their ethical dilemmas.
