A dual-polarized tightly coupled antenna element and an antenna array are presented with an impedance bandwidth ratio of 2.5:1 covering 0.8-2GHz. The power is fed through an exponentially graded balun, and the VSWR of the antenna element is less than 2. Based on the antenna model, an antenna array with small scale is fabricated with VSWR less than 2.2.
