Intelligent commanding of high-speed railways can be improved by mining and analyzing rules between various train delay factors and train dispatching strategies. Based on high-speed railway train operation data in China, rules between dispatching strategy and train operation indicators (e.g., dwelling times, and buffer times) at stations are explored. First, the data were preprocessed, and the dispatching strategies at stations were extracted. Then, indicators related to the station dispatching strategy were extracted. Finally, the Apriori algorithm was used to generate association rules between the dispatching strategy and the train operation indicators. The analysis shows that the association analysis method can effectively extract potential rules between the train dispatching strategy and station indicators and provide auxiliary decision support for the realization of intelligent dispatching of high-speed railways.
