A angle-insensitive wideband metamaterial absorber is designed and made for C band applications. We propose a asymmetric resistive fan-shaped resonators which is optimized for incident waves at oblique incidence of 30°. An absorptivity value greater than 90% was achieved in the frequency range of 4.0–8.0 GHz at oblique incidence of 30 degree. Under other angle incidence, the measured absorptivity was greater than 90% in the range of 4.0-7.5 GHz and 4.5-7.6 GHz when the incident angle varied from 0° to 45° in the transverse electric(TE) and transverse magnetic(TM) mode, respectively.
