A scheme for tracking solar coronal mass ejections (CMEs) is presented. The scheme operates on images from the Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory (STEREO) satellite. The focus of the scheme is tracking the leading edge of the CME via a curve-fitting strategy in STEREO images. In addition to describing the scheme, the strengths and weaknesses of the approach are discussed.
