Pierre Bourdieu regards family and school as two important places for the inheritance of cultural capital [1]. In the 5G era, people’s access to information and knowledge is no longer limited to homes and schools. Short videos have become an important way to spread knowledge and a new educational approach, effectively narrowing the "knowledge gap". This paper focuses on applying short videos in education innovation based on the characteristics of 5G. We found that the bullets of the short video platform and the "class representative" in the comment area break the limitations of the school classroom, expand knowledge horizon, and strengthen communication and interaction. This paper takes Bilibili.com (hereinafter referred to as Bilibili) as the research object, scrapes the bullets through Python, and does big data analysis. The research found that the short video bullet function can realize the interconnection of knowledge points; the "class representative" in the comment area has the function of summarizing knowledge; and the short knowledge videos play a specific role in bridging the "knowledge gap" in school education.
