The representative of the frequency support method of photovoltaic power plants participating in the power system is virtual inertia control. However, due to the fluctuation of the output of each photovoltaic power station, the load shedding capacity that can participate in the frequency regulation is also time-varying. Thus, it is difficult to control the virtual inertia with fixed parameters which is inapplicable. Thus, this paper proposes a photovoltaic high-penetrated power system frequency support technology based on adaptive virtual inertia control, and designs the virtual inertia adaptive law for each photovoltaic power station to participate in the frequency response. By detecting the change of the power reserve of each photovoltaic power station in the group, it can be automatically adaptive to change the virtual inertia size of each photovoltaic power station, and finally realize the active support of the system frequency.
