To support the orderly growth of the electric car sector, proper planning of electric vehicle charging stations is critical. In this study, an optimization model of electric car charging station design is constructed using the minimal yearly cost as the object function, taking the restrictions of charging capacity and investment into account. To guarantee that the planning outputs are more consistent with the EV constraint, the battery capacity constraint considering EV's own factors is utilized to replace the service radius limitation. The case study demonstrates that the technique provided in this work is both practical and scientific, and that it can be used to plan electric car charging stations.
