This paper presents a method of distribution network reconfiguration with consideration of variation characteristic of load and distributed generation(DG). This method can provide the optimal reconfiguration scheme(ORS) with lower power losses and less number of operations. When output power of generators or consumption of load fluctuates dramatically, switches response immediately and the network topology changes in real time. Unbalanced loading scenario, voltage-dependent load model, the probability of each candidate reconfiguration scheme and the economic cost in power transmission are also incorporated. Method to search ORS is expressed as a multi-objective optimization function with constrains of power balance, operating voltage quality, the limit transmission capacity and the request for topological structures. Particle swarm optimization algorithm(PSOA) is adopted to solve the stated math issues. The modified IEEE 34 bus system has been analyzed to illustrate the proposed techniques. Given the reconfiguration time interval as 15 minutes, simulation results of traditional real-time reconfiguration(RTR) method and ORS searching method are illustrated and compared to verify the outstanding performance of proposed method.
