Strong winds and icing are the main natural disasters threatening the safe and stable operation of transmission lines in cold regions. Except for the study of transmission line galloping, the influence of wind load and icing load are usually considered separately in dynamic analysis of conductors in previous studies. In this paper, taking a two-span line section as an example, the wind deflection and motion trajectory of the conductor under the combined action of wind load during icing and ice shedding are studied. Through the comparative analysis of different spans, the effects ice shedding and wind load on conductor jump height, horizontal displacement and dynamic displacement between conductor and ground wire are obtained. The research results can provide reference for the design of transmission lines and provide technical support for the safe and stable operation of lines in alpine areas.
