Plug-in electric vehicle (EV) charging loads have become viable candidates for increasing operational flexibility of distribution systems. A day-ahead economic dispatch strategy for active distribution network (ADN) considering a large number EVs aggregation process is proposed in this paper to make full use of the potential flexibility of demand side. The proposed strategy consists of three models that are EVs aggregation model by clustering method, economic dispatch model for ADN and disaggregation model for EV aggregators, respectively. Numerical simulation results illustrate that the proposed strategy can increase the benefits of ADN with high computation efficiency and offer a promising application value in power system economic dispatch.
