The nested array has attracted considerable attention in the field of array signal processing because of increasing the degree of freedom (DOF). However, most of these technologies assume that white Gaussian noise is used in ideal conditions. This paper considers the problem of direction of arrival (DOA) estimation in cyclic non-Gaussian clutter modeled as a complex symmetric α stable (SaS) process. Combining the theory of phased fractional low-order moment (PFLOM) and compressed sensing, we propose an orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) DOA estimation algorithm named OMP-NA-PFLOM based on a nested array. The advantage of the proposed method is that it preserves the array aperture and has better DOA estimation performance. Simulation results show that the proposed method is superior to previously reported algorithms.
