Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) vortex electromagnetic field is a potential communication method which is expected to alleviate the problem of spectrum resource shortage. To generate OAM beam, we propose a six-unit circular antenna array based on magnetic-electric dipole antenna which is working in 5-10.3GHz. The simulated results are demonstrated that the proposed antenna array can generate ±2 and ±1 modes in working frequency. Furthermore, the magnetic-electric dipole antenna array has low cost and it is easy to fabricate. The simulated results are in good agreement with the theoretical result. The proposed antenna array has potential in expanding wireless channel capacity and optimizing spectral efficiency which can be utilized in OAM communication systems.
