With the increasing importance of indoor positioning technology, positioning precision becomes a focus of our attention. However, the positioning methods currently used in the market have low positioning accuracy. To solve the low positioning, the acoustic localization based on Chan algorithm is proposed in indoor environments in this article. In the first stage, the chirp signal is used as the sound source signal, the impulse response is simulated by the image source (IS) method, then the reverberation signals with noise can be obtained. Then the localizations between time difference of arrival (TDOA) and Chan algorithm are compared. The results show that the Chan algorithm has a better positioning accuracy than the conventional TDOA. And the proposed method has less computational complexity and easy implement.
