We experimentally observed the buildup process of conventional and bound optical solitons via time stretched dispersion Fourier transform technique in two Erbium doped fiber lasers. The mode locking with femtosecond soliton operation was realized by the nonlinear polarization rotation mechanism. The result shows that the random pulses generated firstly, then small pulses was reduced and the main pulse was narrowed and strengthened to form the optical soliton, steady soliton operation was realized after a rapid self-frequency-shifting. The bound soliton was formed as single soliton separation with time interval variation.
