Optimization of residential buildings layout while keep a suitable internal wind environment has become increasingly important in architecture layout designing. Therefore, our study carries out research from two perspectives of layout optimization and wind environment simulation, with the purpose of helping architects find suitable layouts in design process. Our method is consists of a genetic algorithm and a Fully Convolutional Network model (FCN), which can generate an optimal layout design plan while obey its internal wind environment constraints in a reasonable time. The result showed that FCN greatly improves the time efficiency of wind environment simulation with acceptable prediction error and the genetic algorithm has greatly improved the space distance between buildings comparing to the initial layouts.
