With the rapid growth of installed capacity of renewable energy, the problem of renewable energy curtailment has become prominent. In this paper, an evaluation method of renewable energy accommodation considering the correlation of wind and solar power is presented. Firstly, renewable energy stochastic models are established based on the copula function. Secondly, this paper proposes an evaluation method of accommodation capacity of renewable energy which considers economic index, reliability index, and curtailment of renewable energy. Then, the reliability and the curtailment rate are converted into the economic index. Finally, the influence factors of renewable energy accommodation such as evaluation index and the correlation of wind and solar power are compared in a provincial power grid. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed model in this paper performs better than the traditional model.
