This paper studies and designs a high-power broadband noise source with operating frequencies from 100MHz to 18 GHz. The noise diode with a high Excess Noise Ratio (ENR) is used in the design to increase the Power Spectral Density (PSD) through a low noise amplifier, which can eventually produce White Gaussian Noise as high as +25 dBm. At the same time, a low-pass filter is designed in the module to ensure the rectangular coefficient of the output signal, and the flatness of the output signal is less than ± 3 dB through the gain equalizer.
