Superheater as a part of thermal steam power plant could be damaged by deposit. If there is no significant degradation of material, in concern of reliability of power plant, the deposit could be removed by chemical cleaning. Alkali chemical cleaning is chosen since the material is sensitive to low pH and the chemical composition of deposit analysis. Process parameter is monitored continuously. After chemical treatment, there is even distribution of temperature on superheater tubes describes the better heat distribution at superheater tubes (Δ T = 10 – 25 °C) and also Furnace Exit Gas Temperature (Δ T = 50 °C) reduced significantly indicating the better heat transfer in boiler. Improvement of heat transfer of boiler as the result of proper chemical cleaning maybe beneficial in improving the boiler efficiency
