Strong coupling WPT system such as contactless slipring (CS) may suffer from the large harmonic content in resonant tank, which causes decrease in efficiency. This paper systematically analyzes the relationship between the harmonic and coupling coefficient for serial and parallel compensated CS system. In addition, a novel fundamental-harmonic parallel-transferred CS System is proposed. The CS system improves the power transfer capacity and meanwhile promises the soft switching and constant output gain. Experimental results on a 500W prototype are presented to verify the proposed method, and the peak efficiency is 93.99%.
