This paper reports a preliminary study of 4G mobile network platform in terms of coverage and radio signal analysis for LTE network operating in band 7 (2.5 to 2.57 GHz for uplink and 2.62 to 2.69 GHz for downlink) in a former gold underground mine tunnel. Results show functional and comparable connectivity in mine. The coverage and signal analysis of the LTE mobile platform using the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI), Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), path-loss exponent n are presented and compared to some experimental results collected from existing LTE technology measurements works.
