This paper proposes a new concept of dynamic mid point voltage. Solar PV has environmental impacts on its I-V characteristics and therefore, the dynamics of a solar PV fed inverter is unlike constant battery storage based system. Common mode voltage is a significant parameter in the operation of three phase inverter and associated drives. It causes high frequency switching noise pulses, flow of current through bearings and creates electromagnetic interference problems. This work presents a relation between PV source dynamics with common mode voltage of inverter. A new mathematical model for common mode voltage establishing its link with source dynamics has been presented. Simulation analysis is performed to establish the proposed link and its effect on AC side voltage.
