In the large-area fabrication of real panel, black circle and banding mura appeared. This was due to that the lower temperature of the platform made LC molecules have a smaller pretilt angle in the process of UV2. Because the direction of LC molecules was affected by the competitive force of the side chain of polyimide (PI) and the polymer polymerized by reactive mesogen, this phenomenon was improved by adjusting the structure of PI and RM: PI with rigid side chain and RM with soft structure could make smaller pretilt angle and better pretilt stability.
