Cardiovascular disease (known as CVD) has been a leading cause of death for several years and atherosclerosis is the underlying mechanism for it. There are several popular treatments for this disease, and to some extent, each treatment has its drawbacks. Nanotechnology, a science conducted at nanoscale, ranging 1 to 100 nanometer, is the study of extremely small things which can be used across all different fields like chemistry, biology, engineering, and material science. The potential of nanoparticles has been exploited among lots of diseases, especially in cancer therapy, such as probe and drug delivery. In this paper, the author reviews how the nanotechnology performs its function as a probe for medicine delivery. Besides, in this paper, the author hypothesizes that nanoparticles can be used as adsorbers in treatment which can eradicate the plaque.
