Dynamical stability of power system is the periodical divergence caused by insufficient damping in the dynamical process. The dynamical stability level which is affected largely by the parameter change of power system stabilizer (PSS) is found in the actual power grid operation. Influence of PSS parameter optimization on dynamic stability level and its influencing factors is introduced to optimize the PSS parameter. The effectiveness and correctness of the method are verified by the application of the proposed method in regional power network.
