Measuring internal organ movement is always challenging. Most sensors are categorized for surface-skin motion detection (electrically or mechanically). In this paper, a CW Doppler radar system with compact antenna is proposed for measuring internal respiratory motion directly. In this approach a low gain compact linear and circular patch antenna are implemented based on high dielectric constant material. The acquired data while doing PET/CT scan presents more realistic motion detector with better accuracy and more reliability compare to the other techniques.
