A highly reliable and miniaturized flow regulation servo system for a solid ramjet was introduced. To effectively utilize the space, a flat and slotted structure was adopted and the rotary motion was converted by an external fork from the linear output of a ball screw nut. To achieve high reliability, a control strategy incorporating bus over-current protection and stall over-current protection was adopted. The simulation analysis and experimental results show that the design is applicable, having small volume and high reliability to meet the requirements.
