Time reversal (TR) techniques possess the time-spatial focusing features and can be used as promising efficient techniques for wireless power transmission (WPT). Signal characteristics and time reversal mirror (TRM) are two main factors which influence the focusing property of time reversal electromagnetic wave. In this paper, we use XFdtd simulation software to investigate the effect of signal characteristics of time reversal wave propagation in a reverberant metal cavity. The simulation measurement results show that the peak value of focus increases by 2–13 times compared with NO-TR. The number of multipaths increases from 50 to 350 with the increase of carrier frequency from 2GHz to 3GHz and bandwidth from 150M to 500M of detection signals.
