Lithium-ion batteries have become an indispensable part in electronic and transportation sector in recent times. Therefore, the augmentation of lithium-ion batteries' efficiency has become vital for saving energy. There are many factors that influence the battery efficiency, so this paper has discussed the classification of lithium-ion batteries and its internal efficiency factors. A comparison between different battery balancing topologies is included. In addition, this paper presented the efficiency analysis on different charging strategies for lithium-ion battery and different balancing control for battery pack.
