At present, under the trend of the smart grid evolving toward the power and the Internet of Things, the scale of the business of the power communication network has proliferated, resulting in an increasing burden on the communication network. In addition, the emerging power business has gradually widened the demand for communication. The traditional power communication management and control system lacks unified planning, and the network compatibility is poor, resulting in waste of communication resources and network delay. The quality of the network is not guaranteed, which restricts the intelligent development of the power grid. In view of the above problems, this paper proposes an improved scheme for applying SDN technology to the management and control of distribution network communication networks. It provides a unified management and control platform for flexible and open power services. The network architecture service, control and bearer separation are realized, the differentiated requirements of multiple services are met, the operation and maintenance management level is improved, the operation and maintenance cost is saved, and the reliable operation of the power service is supported.
