The localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) of metal nanoparticle will lead to thermal effect, which will make the metal nanoparticles have wide application potential in biological and medical areas. In this paper, the efficient finite element algorithm is used to analyze the thermal effect of the LSPR of the metal nanoparticle at optical frequency. The near-field and temperature distributions are presented. Numerical results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
