In this paper, the field strength is predicted for urban macrocellular TD-LTE 230MHz electric wireless private networks by using Uniform Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (UTD). The total path loss including only diffraction, and diffraction plus reflection with respect to the transceiver heights and the number of buildings are calculated and analyzed by comparison with COST231 model, respectively. The results show that UTD model can simulate the path loss more accurately by considering the influence of buildings between the transceiver. The results in this paper are helpful for the coverage prediction of TD-LTE 230MHz electric wireless private networks.
