This paper has presented a Simulink model to help set up an artificial environment in tidal power research. Different from traditional methods, artificial waves are able to be controlled. The model made it possible to do tidal research in every single type wave condition. Artificial waves reduce interferences of the laboratory and help energy integration research go further. Instead of doing research offshore, indoor laboratory circumstance is better and safer.
