Computational method of the electromagnetic scattering properties of the phased array antennas is studied in this paper. A method for realizing the shaped beam scattering is proposed based on phase controlling. The simulation analysis shows that in the area we are interested, the phase only beam forming could depress the average scattering lobe peak more than 10dB. Shaped the scattering beam is obtained based on the radar threat area of the phased array antenna, which can reduce the RCS of the large active phased array antenna in the region of the radar threat. Finally, the stealth property of the phased arrav antenna can be realized.
