In this paper, a diagonal approximation has been introduced in the framework of contrast source extended Born (CSEB) subspace-based optimization method (SOM) and the method is named as diagonalized CSEB-SOM (DCSEB-SOM). Compared with the original CSEB-SOM, a more simplified objective function and less computational complexity are obtained. Numerical example demonstrates the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed DCSEB-SOM. Moreover, DCSEB-SOM and CSEB-SOM have almost the same performance but DCSEB-SOM needs much less computation load.
