Most of the disabled spacecraft are spun, which are dangerous to other normal work spacecraft. Therefore, the disabled spacecraft need to be cleared and the first step is de-tumbling its angular velocity to an acceptable value. This paper investigates the dynamics and controller design of electromagnetic de-tumbling, analyzes the effects of the Earth's magnetic field, the inclination and the orbit height, and utilizes the ‘Two-to-One’ de-tumbling mode which eliminates the incidental electromagnetic force actuated on the disabled spacecraft.
