Effective bus route planning is important for management to solve the traffic problems. In this paper, we analyze the spatiotemporal characteristics of resident trips from real GPS data of taxi in the city of Beijing, China and find that it has significant sub-period and cyclical characteristics. Besides we design Multi-objective Bus Route Plan Model based on ant colony algorithm by considering the travel characteristics of residents. The result of the model shows that it can provide the solution of bus routes with stronger transportation and less travel time. And the discovered hotspots match the travelers' experience.
