Energy router is the key element of the future power grid named the energy internet. The research and development of energy routers need the high flexible research platform, because of the diversity of the requirements from the energy internet and the complexity of the structure inside the energy router. This paper focuses on design and implementation of a scenario simulated experimental platform to serve the AC-DC hybrid multi-port energy router for power distribution networks. Besides the typical tests of power quality, the research on various scenarios are described in detail, such as the grid voltage sags, reactive power compensation and behaviors of the PV generation system and the energy storage system, etc. The experimental results verify the validity of the proposed research platform for energy routers.
