Results of laboratory research into the influence of ageing and moisture degree of aramid-oil insulation samples on the depolarization current considering temperature effects are presented. Also the possibilities to apply the non-invasive PDC (Polarization and Depolarization Current) diagnostic method to analysis depolarization currents of the new type of synthetic insulation based on aramid are described. The method of preparation of samples, which differ - in a controlled manner - as to the moistures and ageing degree, is also described. The results of experiments are presented in a form of groups of characteristics considering two types of insulation, i.e. the semi-synthetic (aramid - mineral oil) and fully synthetic (aramid-Midel 7131) ones.
