Energy needs increases in each day. There is a fright that fossil fuels will get drained ultimately in the next hundred years. So the other systems centered on non-conventional and renewable sources are being strained by many nations. This paper is mainly focused on that. It deals with soft switching methods used for dc-dc converters; isolated dual input dc-dc converter is investigated with two sources. Finally MATLAB based hybrid systems involving fuel cells and Batteries with different configurations are designed and comparisons are carried out.
