The Prevalence of anemia in HIV/AIDS outpatients had not been well known in resources limited region of China Our study aimed to describe the prevalence and analyze related factors of anemia in those patients. The anemia prevalence and predictors of HIV/AIDS outpatients were assessed in six rural clinics of Henan province during June 1 and September 30 in 2012. The prevalence of anemia among rural HIV/AIDS outpatients of China was approximate 26.8%, Mild to moderate anemia is more common than severe anemia The frequency of macrocytic anemia is more than microcytic anemia and normocytic anemia The prevalence related factors was female sex, thrombocytopenia and CD4+T cell counts below 200 cettsfaL. More attentions should be focused on those related factors and gave timely treatment.
