Attempts are made to construct micromegas and PIM-like detectors by using thermo-bond film as frames and spaces to support the woven micromeshes and to maintain the gas gaps. The unsupported spans of the meshes in prototypes that we tested are 2.5 cm to 4.5 cm. This method of micromegas construction does not require the photolithographic process. Prototype construction and test results of the single avalanche gap micromegas and the double gap Parallel Ionization Multiplier (PIM) are reported. The best energy resolution obtained for 5.9 keV x-ray is 13.7% (FWHM) for Micromegas prototypes. The test results also show it is possible to use woven thick mesh to build PIM with sufficient gain and large component of fast electron signal.
