Municipal sewer overflow was treated by magnetic flocculation. The technical parameters such as magnetic seed dosage, coagulating agent dosage, pH value were investigated through orthogonal experiment, based on which the MATLAB software was used to present a mathematical regression model and fit the response curve and regression analysis for the removal rate of TSS. Results showed that the best conditions obtained in the lab by experiment were identical to which obtained by regression analysis.
