Large polyaniline-coated polystyrene (PANI-PS) latex particles (13μm in diameter) were used for measuring the limiting current of the suspension reaction on the carbon microelectrode (7μm in diameter). Two results were observed: one was no particle reaction on electrode, and the other was only one particle reacted on the electrode with the limiting current about 30pA. This value is almost the same as the limiting current that one particle was artificially put on the Pt microelectrode with the diameter of 20um when the potential applied. The color of polyaniline layer is in blue-green and the yellow-green indicates the occurrence of redox reaction.
