Thermal plasma pyrolysis offers some unique advantages for waste tires treatment as compared to conventional pyrolysis. The intense heat generated by the plasma enables it to dispose waste tires and waste tires are pyrolyzed into combustible gas and pyrolytic carbon black when it comes in contact with the plasma arc. The cost of thermal plasma pyrolysis waste tires for combustible gas and carbon black recovery has been analysed in this paper. The conditions that result in system optimization and cost minimization have been determined.
